You know all those times in the Ace Attorney series where Phoenix Wright manages to escape death (falling off a burning bridge into a river but only getting a cold, getting hit by a speeding car but walking away with just a scraped ankle, getting tased by von Karma but managing to get up and run to the courthouse afterwords with little problems)?
It's because Sissel was saving his life over and over again. I don't care how you do it, anon--I'd like to see how and why Sissel would do such a thing.
I would like to see the beginnings of Jowd and Cabanela's rad bromance.
Bonus points if there are cameos from Ace Attorney, because the image of that police department being the same as the one in Ghost Trick is fucking beautiful. (We can just assume that the Ghost Trick chief is... uh... newer and that he wanted a new office because the marble in the old one made his feet cold.)
Okay, this is pretty spoilery for end-game so I'll just white the whole thing:
S-so, I know Yomiel definitely has a fiancee, and in all likelihood, he was reunited with her at the end of the game when he got out of prison... but after he saved Lynne on the submarine in his epic heel-face turn, I just couldn't help but ship Lynne/Yomiel just a little :( Especially after he came to realize well Lynne had captured how he felt all those years into words.
I'd love to see anything involving them, doesn't have to be romantic. I'd be happy with friendship fic or whatever tickles your fancy! ;_;
Pretty spoilery for the whole game, so don't read if you haven't completed it.
---
“I don’t know why you’re wearing my face but…”
Did it even matter what the rest of that sentence was?
What mattered was that Yomiel delivered it cool and calmly, letting this other spirit know that he’d been caught out in what he was doing and that he was no where near being in Yomiel’s league in this game of ghost tricks.
But on the inside it was more than a little unsettling.
Everyone knew what their face looked like – most people saw it, albeit a reflection, in the mirror every morning. Photographs and video tapes could quietly upset people because they showed your face as it was, instead of the flipped reflection you were used to seeing in the mirror – if you had a spot on one cheek it would look like it was on the other.
But nothing was quite as disturbing as seeing your own image walking around right in front of you, acting independently of you. Though ‘walking’ was a loose term considering this was a spirit who could only exist by possessing inanimate objects.
He thought about what he knew – about himself, about this other person and about how this person had come to use his face. But none of that mattered right now – he had to keep up his act, he had to complete his side of the bargain.
Yomiel had sold his soul, yet in front of him was a copy of his face acting in a way that he might have once acted himself, showing expressions that he probably displayed back when he cared more. Right now the reaction of this ghost was shock, followed closely by fear…
He wondered if fate was playing some cruel trick on him by forcing him to face this person mirroring who he once was.
Then he remembered that he had no time for that.
Ten years was too long to wait.
The last thing he thought as he bore down on this frozen imposter spirit was to consider if he could truly hurt him.
Though he’d never know he’d even thought that soon enough.
Sissel turned back the time to four minutes ago again – this had been a mistake on his part.
He knew he had to do this without the man wearing ‘his’ face seeing him.
"Ack! Sissel!" The detective flails his hands around the top of his head, but the kitten's already jumped down. "I get the picture; I'll clean the litterbox! Gods!"
I'm not sure how to white text!! Please scroll down if you haven't beat the game!!
Sooo... You know how Yomiel can control people? And you know how he wanted revenge on so many people? And you know how Jowd was locked up in prison? And you know how Cabenela was a dective? Anndd you know how Cabenela and Jowd were such tight bros? I want to see Yomiel take advantage of that situation and friendship with a little posession.
The mustached man has been polishing his glass for a long while now, paying little attention to the young lady sitting at the bar. Her curly green hair peeks out from beneath a cap. She stares into her empty glass, resting her cheek in one hand.
"I think I'm giving up on men," she suddenly announces.
The bartender doesn't usually make conversation with the people who come to the bar but it isn't like she has anyone else to converse with and her words were apparently meant for him to hear.
"Why is that?" he asks, rubbing the glass some more. It catches the light and sparkles.
"I was dating a guy, you see, we had been going out for a week. Then I catch him sticking his tongue down his supposedly ex-girlfriend's throat. Creep."
"I am sorry to hear that." It occurs to the bartender that he's seen this woman before. Oh yes, she worked as a waitress for a very short while, and had a habit of hanging by the bar and staring at him. She looks very different without a ridiculously huge chicken hat on her head.
"So that's it, I'm done. I'm swearing off men for the rest of my life," Memry declares with firm conviction in her voice. "I'm going to end up being a lonely old lady with cats for company. At least cats won't cheat on you."
The bartender turns his gaze toward the empty glass, feeling slightly uncomfortable. He isn't an expert on relationship issues and has no idea how to talk to a woman who was cheated on. "Another drink, miss?" Looking back at the distraught expression on her freckled face, he feels sympathetic. "I'll make it on the house too."
"Really?" Memry smiles for the first time since she got there. "Wow, I thought you were a bit cold, but really you're not so bad after all."
No other customers come to the bar that night. They keep talking until it's time for the restaurant to close. Memry has had a few too much to drink and can barely walk in her state. Since his home is close by, he offers to take her there. It wouldn't be safe for her to walk home completely drunk at night.
The two sit together in the kitchen and Memry drinks copious amounts of water to stave off a potential hangover. It wouldn't do to go into work tomorrow with a crushing hangover, especially when she worked so hard to get a job in the Special Investigation Unit. Fortunately, she isn't drunk enough to be throwing up everywhere which would be mortifying in someone else's house. "You know, I always had a crush on you," she mumbles, "but you never seem to pay attention to me. I thought you were a jerk. And yet, I couldn't stop crushing on you. I'm always falling for the wrong type of guys, it seems."
"Do I seem like the wrong type of guy to you?"
"Well, I don't know. I liked you but you seemed to always be in your own world and never paying attention to anything around you. After tonight, I suppose you aren't so bad after all." Memry drains her water glass and tilts her head, giving him a curious look. "So what do you think about me?"
Now that he actually contemplated it, Memry was quite an attractive woman and she might be an odd girl, but once he started talking to her and got to know more about her, she was quite interesting. "I think you are a very nice girl. Sorry about not paying attention to you before; I've never really been good with girls."
"Maybe it's about time you started trying to be," Memry said, her eyes sparkling flirtatiously. "Unless you want to end up alone with cats too."
"Hmm. I could give it a try." The bartender leans over and kisses her on the lips. It feels nice. He breaks away to see that her face is tomato red, but she has a grin stretching from ear to ear.
"I might have been a bit too hasty in deciding to give up on men."
After another hour of conversation and some kissing, Memry decides it's time to take a cab home. The two exchange numbers and promise to see each other again very soon.
Bailey is dancing around in panic mode. His partner in the office (who I really wish had a name, dammit) decides to show him another way to relax... If it doesn't work, at least Bailey should be too tired to dance when they're through.
tl;dr - Officer with the hat over his eyes/Bailey, smut. Frottage, or bending Bailey over a desk, or whatever anon so desires. <3
Bailey/and that guard that stacks a card tower in the same office as bailey?
*sigh*
Umm... That other guard doesn't have a name...
Well, on to the prompt:
I kinda want to see something fluffy from them. Like maybe the other guard stops stacking cards for once and tries to dance the panic dance with bailey? I dunno, just something fluffy. I understand it's kinda hard to do a fic when one of characters doesn't have a name, but at least please give me something with them.
Because I recently finished The Book of Night with Moonand oh god The Big Meow is finally finished yay!, I, uh, really want a crossover.
Spoilers:For whatever reason, Rhiow's team is in wherever Ghost Trick takes place (maybe the Temsik meteor messed up the local worldgate?) and they run into Sissel and freak out because... undead kitten. Who actually doesn't have anything to do with the Lone One? WHAT IS GOING ON. ...That's pretty much as far as I've gotten with this idea.
Why does Commander Sith have a fruit bowl in his office? Because Tengo kept on snatching all the sugary goods from the bowl, leaving nothing fun for the Commander to eat.
I would like to see what kinds of things did Sith his fill his bowl with (and noticing that Tengo kept on emptying it) before he finally put fruits in there and noticed that Tengo doesn't like fruits and he finally leaves the bowl alone.
This is all pretty spoilery, so complete white-out:
Something along the lines of "kitty Sissel magically gets turned into a human" where Yomiel is finally out of prison and reunited with his fiancée, happy times all around. Except Yomiel starts to find this catboy more attractive than his fiancée.
So I want Yomiel/Sissel with Yomiel trying to deal with this attraction. And this is where anon memes are wonderful, because I'd be too embarrassed to admit to wanting something like this openly. >_>
"How does it look, doctor?" Jowd lay back against the bed pillows, glancing at his leg. He could barely move it due to the swath of bandages wrapped around his knee and neither did he particularly want to as it would send shooting pains up and down his leg.
"Luckily, there was no serious damage. I would recommend a few days' rest since walking around isn't going to be easy. After that, you might want to use a cane to get around for a while. While there is likely to be scarring, the injury should heal completely."
"I guess I won't be doing any fieldwork for a while. At least I can count on Cabanela to pick up the slack."
The detective heard the soft click of the door being opened and looked up in anticipation. Was she here at last?
"Hello, I've come to see my husband. Is now a bad time?"
That sweet, beautiful voice. Just hearing it again was enough to bring tears to the back of Jowd's eyes. Five years ago... no, that wasn't right. He was in the past so it would be five years from now. Having memories of the future sure was confusing. After that day, he never thought he would hear her voice again.
"Please, come in. I was just finishing up here."
The door opened further and Alma came walking into the room, clutching their two-year-old daughter in her arms.
Jowd's breath caught at the sight of her. Here she was, alive, breathing and in the flesh. His lovely wife. "A-Alma..." He could barely even speak with the tears choking him up.
"Oh my goodness, honey. Your leg." Alma's mouth hung open as she stared at the bandages.
"Daddy, Daddy!" Kamila waved her arms toward him.
Jowd reached out and took the toddler from his wife's arms. Kamila looked so happy with a big smile on her face. He hoped that smile was never going to be wiped away ever again.
"Jowd, are you okay? You're crying." Alma looked at him concernedly,
And he was. Rivers of tears were streaming down his cheeks. He rarely ever cried like this, but who could blame him? He was so overcome with emotion at seeing his wife again and his little daughter with her innocent smile, free of pain.
"I'm just so happy to see you again," said Jowd. He put Kamila on his lap then held out his arms toward Alma and she leaned into his embrace. Jowd clutched her tightly, burying his face in her hair and inhaling her scent. He had his wife back at last and this time he swore he was not going to lose her.
Though they held on to each other for a good few minutes, the time seemed much too short to Jowd and he was reluctant to let go of her when she finally disengaged herself.
"I met Cabanela outside the hospital, holding onto a little black kitten," Alma said. "He said you wanted us to bring the kitten home with us. Is that true?"
"Yes. His name is Sissel," said Jowd. "He will make a wonderful addition to the family."
"I think he will too."
Jowd turned his attention to his daughter, who at this point was taking a vivid interest in his beard, and stroked her head. His family was back together at last, thanks to Sissel, and hopefully it was going to stay this way.
The inspector in white and the red-headed detective clinked their glasses together then sipped at the fizzing golden liquid. Their tastebuds tingled with pleasure and a gentle burning sensation welled up in their chests.
"Wow, this stuff is good." Lynne hardly ever had the opportunity to drink champagne, considering how expensive it was, but even she could tell when it was one of the finer brands. "Just how much did this cost you?"
"My baby deserves the best and ooonly the best. Don't let a little thing like price worry you. We are celebrating the completion of your first big case after all."
"Thanks." Lynne sank back into the cushions and took a long sip of the champagne then sighed in pleasure. Today had been fairly tiring and she was happy to have the chance to just sit back and relax with a glass of fizz.
"Is there anything else you would like? There miiight still be time to book a table at a restaurant if you change your mind about that." Cabanela rested one arm against the sofa, gazing at her face as he sipped at his drink.
Lynne shook her head. "Just takeaway chicken is fine. I'm feeling a bit worn out after today."
"Whatever you want, baby. We can do it some other time. There will be plenty of times during your career when you feel like celebrating, I'm sure." Cabanela took another gulp and exhaled. "Nothing beats the joy of getting to put a criminal behind bars, don't you think?"
"Oh, yes. Absolutely." Lynne's mouth widened in an eager grin. "The thrill of the chase, the sweet taste of victory when you finally catch them... I'm so glad I became a detective."
"So am I." Cabanela drained his glass and set it down. "You know what we need? Music. I'll just go and put some on." He rose from the sofa and sauntered over to his stereo. The inspector started shuffling through the rack of CDs. "Hmm, what should we listen to? Ah, yeees, this should be good." He stood up, waving the case in his hand. "This is one of my personal favourites. I'm suuure you'll like it."
Lynne twisted around, watching as he put the CD into the stereo. After a few seconds, a soft melody began to play out and was joined by the singer's melodic voice. Cabanela walked over to the sofa and held out a hand to her.
"Caaare to dance, baby?"
Lynne gulped down the rest of the champagne and put down the glass down, then took Cabanela's hand. He led her over to the other side of the room and slipped his hands down to her waist. She put her arms around him and they slowly danced around the room, swaying in motion to the music.
"Prepare yourself. The fast part is coming up," Cabanela said after almost a minute had gone by.
"Huh?" Lynne's face registered surprise. "There's a fast part?"
The slow tune started to fade out along with the singer's voice. Then a rapid beat pounded out from the stereo and the singer resumed her song, this time at a much quicker pace.
Lynne was struggling to keep up with the sudden faster motion, but with Cabanela guiding her, she quickly adapted to it and they whirled around, clutching hands as they went through the movements. The song began to slow down again as it approached its climax and Cabanela pulled Lynne to his chest, holding her close while the music faded out.
The redhead looked up, her eyes meeting with his, and they froze as if caught in a trance. Cabanela broke the spell by kissing her full on the lips. Lynne started kissing back, her arms slipping around his neck. When they eventually broke apart, they were breathing heavily.
"You know, the chicken can wait," Lynne said huskily.
"You sure?" Cabanela asked, receiving a nod. "Then let me show you my eeextra special dance, baby. I won't disappoint." He led her into his bedroom.
Their moans of pleasure mixed with the pounding music flowing from the stereo as they writhed beneath the sheets, their bodies mingling together. It was an enjoyable experience for both of them and seemed to be over all too soon. They lay there in each other's arms, sweating and panting.
"That was the best dance yet." Lynne beamed.
"Tooold you I wouldn't disappoint." Cabanela brushed a sticky strand of hair from her cheek. "How about that chicken now?"

I would like to see what kinds of things did Sith his fill his bowl with (and noticing that Tengo kept on emptying it) before he finally put fruits in there and noticed that Tengo doesn't like fruits and he finally leaves the bowl alone.

Family Reunion [1/1]
"How does it look, doctor?" Jowd lay back against the bed pillows, glancing at his leg. He could barely move it due to the swath of bandages wrapped around his knee and neither did he particularly want to as it would send shooting pains up and down his leg."Luckily, there was no serious damage.

Extra Special Dance [1/1]
"Cheers!"The inspector in white and the red-headed detective clinked their glasses together then sipped at the fizzing golden liquid.
"Sounds great. I'm absolutely famished."
